I've been making pictures for the past decade or so. Photojournalism has allowed me to see places, meet people and be part of events that I've never even dreamed of seeing, meeting or experiencing. That little viewfinder has proven to be a magic door into some unexpected adventures.

I began as a sports photographer - covering mostly soccer - in Romania for Gazeta Sporturilor. After that I moved to Columbia, Mo., to study photojournalism as a Fulbright grantee at the Missouri School of Journalism.  I interned at The Valley News and The Northwest Herald and returned to Romania where I freelanced and I was a staff photographer at Mediafax Foto. 

I take pictures on film every now and then. It's slower, and I really enjoy that. I like to go fishing when time allows.

I currently live in Austin, Texas, where I freelance. Some of the publications I've done freelance work for are The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and The Nation . I'm available for editorial, commercial and corporate assignments.
